Designing the Student Experience

When we set out to design the student app, our goal was to help schools drive student engagement and make sure that students are following the correct security procedures when signing-in-and-out. To achieve our goal, we focused on designing a student app that was:

  • Simple to navigate - Quick and easy for students to complete leave and sign-in-sign-out procedures.
  • Fun - A beautiful design with micro interactions and animations that make the experience enjoyable for students.
  • Accessible - A responsive user-interface that works on any web browser as well as native applications for iOS and Android mobile devices.

The result? A beautiful app that makes even the most complex leave, exeat and SISO processes easy to follow. This makes it easier for students for follow the correct procedures and allows schools to gather the information they need to fulfil their duty of care. Everybody wins.

Apply For Leave On The Go

With the mobile app, students can manage all their leave activity on the go. Applying for leave is quick and painless, and incredibly convenient. Pending requests are updated automatically and all your leave activity is organised in a simple list. Plus, students can save time when applying for the same leave request over and over again (ie. sports practices) by creating templates that pre-fill all the leave information for them. Stay Updated With Push-Notifications

With the new iOS and Android apps, students will be able to receive push-notifications to ensure they are always up-to-date with what is happening. Students will be automatically notified about things like leave approvals, endorsements and other important alerts.

This means that you don’t have to rely on students to manually check their email for web-app for notifications anymore. Instead students will conveniently receive a notification on their mobile device in real-time. **Please Note: Push-Notifications are still in production and scheduled to be released as soon as possible
